Movie Review: Rachel Getting Married

I saw this movie the other night on campus and I am glad that I did. It is the story of Kim coming home from rehab to attend her sister Rachel’s wedding. Kim has to confront her family, particularly her father, sister, and her divorced biological mother regarding her rehab and her mistakes from the past.

The filming of the movie looks almost like a home filmed wedding video at moments. The amount of activity in some of the scenes and the number of people packed into small rooms full of action almost makes the movie too excitable and hectic at times. The acting is great. The story is well paced. The characters are believable. A good watch for a lazy afternoon or a quiet evening.
