Movie Review: Slumdog Millionaire

———————————————————-
I can easily say this is the best movie I have seen this year (note this is the first movie I have seen this year). The story of young man in India describing his past as it relates to the TV show who wants to be a millionaire. The premise itself doesn’t seem like a winner but the actual back story, filming, acting, and score are fantastic. The filming is beautiful (the backdrops, the angles, the natural scenes of India) and is set off my a great sound track. I was reminded at times of the movie City of God (maybe it’s the power image of a child holding gun that looks so odd in proportion to their body). The only negative I can say about this film is that at times it was difficult to hear some of the dialogue. I was unsure where the end of the movie was going to go, really there were only two options. I, however, didn’t feel the ending hurt that the movie at all. This was just a really beautifully amazing movie. I highly recommend it. Lets see if it wins the Oscar for best picture…
