OK my thesis is going slow because I am not being concrete with what I want to say or how I want to say it. I keep introducing new ways to get around the issue of basically presenting my results in a way that says, “it is this way because I say it is.” By this I mean I have no methodology from the literature to make my findings consistent and meaningful. I have an interesting methodology but no way to truely validate the findings.

That said I have to go back into the literature and find out what I can say and be happy and fully confident in what I will do to say it. I am going to spend this week looking at the literature in the entire field of online communication and hopefully find a concrete method of categorizing content.

I can’t seem to make my own ideas rock solid so I will have to lean on the literature and what others have to done to feel confident with my work.

Maybe once I believe in my own thesis topic the rest will move along much faster.

I also have to move away from anything that is not school oriented. That means finishing up the access work for the AC and telling them I can’t take it any further then what I said I would have done by now. IE. getter done and get out.
